Real Estate Update
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
We have endeavored to embrace faithful stewardship of the properties and buildings of our diocese. And, to provide professional real estate support for local ministries and enhance partnerships with community organizations, a separate diocesan corporation was formed: Episcopal Real Estate of Long Island.
The mission and the goal are to support congregations in the evaluation and transformation of aging buildings as well as underused property in order to maximize the ministries of the local church and the diocese.
Like many ministries from time-to-time, Episcopal Real Estate of Long Island now requires reflection and adjustments to best serve ongoing and future needs. As we seek to move forward in new directions, Haiko Cornelissen and Dan Panitz will be leaving Episcopal Real Estate of Long Island.
Our senior construction manager, Anthony Natale, and others in the Episcopal Real Estate of Long Island office, will remain in place.
Although this is a time of transition, I assure you that the diocesan staff, including the Episcopal Real Estate of Long Island staff, will continue supporting all diocesan congregations and ministries.
I remain, Faithfully in Christ,
The Rt. Rev. Lawrence C. Provenzano
Bishop of Long Island
