On Wednesday, July 24, the Islamic Center of Long Island hosted an interfaith vigil calling for humane immigration policies. Faith, civic, and political leaders together called for an end to the intolerable conditions for refugees and immigrants at the border. Bishop Provenzano was among the invited speakers and was joined at the event by Mother Marie Tatro, Vicar for Community Justice.

The 150th Anniversary Acolyte Festival and Recognition of 2019 High School Graduates was presented May 18th by the Youth and Young Adult Ministry at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City, NY. The event included workshops, games and an Acolyte Olympics. Canon Myra B. Garnes is Canon for Youth and Young Adult Ministries of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island.
