Commission on Ministry
Comprised of both lay and ordained members, elected by the convention of the diocese, the Commission on Ministry serves the Bishop Diocesan by assisting individuals who feel called to ordination to discern God's will for their ministry. The commission continuously seeks to discern God's plan for ministry in both traditional and new forms of service.
The Day of Discernment for those exploring ordained ministry will be Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Mercer School of Theology. Please CLICK HERE to download the application form. The registration form is to be completed by the rector or priest-in-charge in conjunction with the aspirant. No aspirant may attend the Day of Discernment without his/her parish priest. Pre-registration is required. It is assumed that the aspirant spent a significant amount of time in a parish discernment with the sponsoring clergy before coming to the Day of Discernment. The aspirant and sponsoring clergy both must sign this form and return it by February 21, 2023 to PGravesande@dioceseli.org.
