Cathedral A/V Engineer – Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City

The Cathedral of the Incarnation, the mother church of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island, is seeking an A/V Engineer to support live production of worship services and special events. This role is responsible for capturing services with excellence and reliability, working closely with Cathedral leadership, especially the music and liturgy staffs, to create professional livestreams and recordings and ensure the technical presentation matches the significance of the liturgy.

Requirements

  • Experience with multi-camera production
  • Ability to operate remote PTZ cameras
  • Experience with live audio mixing
  • Strong independent problem-solving skills for technical issues in real time
  • Willingness to collaborate closely with Cathedral leadership to ensure all essential elements of the service are effectively captured
  • Must pass a background check and be willing to complete online Safe Church training

Preferred (or similar experience)

  • vMix proficiency
  • Behringer X32 proficiency
  • Knowledge of Tesira audio processors
  • Knowledge of Dante and NDI protocols
  • Familiarity with Episcopal, Evangelical, or Catholic Church/liturgies a major plus

General Call Schedule

  • Two half-day Sundays per month (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) ($150 per half day)
  • Two full-day Sundays per month (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) ($250 per full day)
  • Additional calls for periodic funerals, weddings, and special diocesan events
  • Opportunities for additional calls functioning as a building host for outside performance ensembles ($300 per building host call)
