Ms. Breen previously served as Cathedral Administrator. As Human Resource Compliance Manager, she is responsible for guiding the Diocese in employment policies, legal compliance, and best practices. Her work includes overseeing hiring and termination processes; maintaining records of safe church training certificates and background checks; updating and implementing the Employee Handbook; advising congregations and diocesan institutions on employment matters; coordinating mutual ministry reviews and staff development initiatives; and remaining current on federal, state, and church-related employment laws and standards.

Together, Ms. Gravesande and Ms. Breen will collaborate closely and, in due course, will form the core of a Human Resources Department when Nancy Signore retires later this year after 43 years of dedicated service to the Diocese.

“Camlyn and Arleen bring exceptional experience, institutional knowledge, and a deep commitment to the life of this Diocese,” said The Rt. Rev. Lawrence C. Provenzano, Bishop of Long Island. “Their leadership will strengthen the support we provide to our clergy, lay employees, and congregations. I am also deeply thankful for Nancy Signore’s 43 years of devoted service, which have so faithfully shaped this ministry and prepared the way for this next season of growth and care.”
