The Diocesan Altar Guild invites you to step away from the noise and pace of the holiday season and enter a sacred space of calm, reflection, and renewal during the D.A.G.’s annual Quiet Day. Treat yourself to the gift of time in the midst of the holiday rush. A little quiet can go a long way to help us to look deeper than a Hallmark movie to find the transformative beauty of the seasons of Advent and Christmas. Who: Altar Guild members and all who wish to attend.

This year’s Quiet Day, open to all whether or not you serve on an altar guild, offers a meaningful opportunity to allow Advent to unfold within us. Under the spiritual guidance of The Very Rev. Laurence G. Byrne, participants will be invited into a rhythm of gentle reflection, silence, and prayer as we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ.

Together, we will explore what it means to “fill our lamps” so that we may shine for others, rediscovering the depth, stillness, and wonder that often get lost amid the busyness of December. Whether you're seeking spiritual grounding, peaceful companionship, or simply a moment to breathe, this Quiet Day offers a restorative pause and a renewed sense of hope as we journey once again toward the lowly cattle shed in royal David’s city.
