On Friday, March 7, the Diocese of Long Island, in partnership with the Diocese of New York and the Episcopal Church in Connecticut, will host an informal lunch and conversation for those who are discerning or interested in Armed Forces and Federal Ministries, or who have questions about chaplaincy in military, VA, federal, or institutional settings.
We are pleased to welcome The Rt. Rev. Ann Ritonia, Bishop Suffragan for Armed Forces and Federal Ministries in The Episcopal Church, who will join the gathering to share insight into this ministry and engage in conversation. Bishop Ritonia, a former Navy chaplain, provides pastoral oversight and support for Episcopal chaplains serving across the U.S. military and federal systems and brings deep experience in this unique vocation.
The lunch will take place from 1:00–4:00 PM at the Mercer School of Theology.
This is a relaxed and informal gathering, open to clergy and those in discernment. Whether you are actively exploring chaplaincy or simply curious and seeking more information, you are warmly encouraged to attend and ask questions.
If you would like to join us, please RSVP by March 1 so that lunch arrangements can be made.
