
God willing and the people consenting, the Reverend Dr. Adam J. Shoemaker will be ordained and consecrated a Bishop in the one holy catholic and apostolic Church, and the Ninth Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island. The service will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Tilles Center in Brookville, Long Island. The Most Reverend Sean Rowe, Presiding Bishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church, will serve as the chief consecrator.
Ticket Reservations
Tickets are required for entry into the Tilles Center. Online registration is limited to 6 tickets per submission. If you need to reserve tickets for a larger group, please contact the Office of the Bishop (bishopsoffice@dioceseli.org or 516-248-4800)directly for assistance. During registration, please select how you would like to receive your physical tickets:
Mailing List (must be registered by September 1st): Tickets will be mailed directly to your registration address.
Bishop's Office Pickup (must be picked up by September 15th): Tickets will be held for early pickup at the Office of the Bishop, 65 Fourth Street, Garden City, NY.
Will Call: Tickets will be held at the main check-in tables outside the Tilles Center on the day of the event.

Information for Clergy
All clergy, including those from the Diocese of Long Island and visiting dioceses, are highly encouraged to vest and to be part of the procession. Reserved seating will be provided for all participating clergy.
Please note: clergy are still required to register and will need a physical ticket to enter the hall.

Visiting from Outside the Diocese?
Are you visiting from outside the Diocese of Long Island? When registering, please note where you are coming from. Visiting dioceses will have reserved seating to allow your group to sit together.
If your specific jurisdiction or affiliation is not listed on the registration form, choose "Other" and type your organization and title manually into the provided text box.
Additionally, we have reserved blocks of rooms at discounted rates across three local hotels for your convenience, please see the Guest Accommodations & Hotel Block Information section below.
Parking
There is ample, free on-site parking. Please arrive early. Latecomers will only be seated at designated points in the liturgy.
Security Protocols
Doors to the Tilles Center will open 1 hour before the consecration. Enhanced security screenings will be in place including handheld metal detectors and/or bag searches. Please allow extra time to enter and see below for a list of restricted items.
The following items are not allowed in the theater:
- Backpacks/Large Bags
- Weapons/Firearms
- Outside food and beverages, including water bottles
- Strollers (Tilles Center will check and hold your stroller for your convenience)
- Helium-filled balloons
- Air horns and other loud noise makers
Accessibility and Accommodations
If you or anyone in your party require specific accommodations (such as wheelchair seating or companion placement), please describe your needs on the registration form so our team can prepare for your arrival.
Once on campus you will be directed to the best available parking location. Please indicate to the parking guides if you are carrying a handicapped passenger so you may be directed to a specially designated drop-off area or parking adjacent to the theater.
Only cars with handicapped permits or license plates will be permitted to PARK in the designated handicapped parking area. There are a limited number of handicapped parking spaces available. Please arrive early.
