The Cathedral of the Incarnation warmly invites all to its presentation of Maurice Duruflé’s monumental Requiem, Opus 9, on Sunday, November 1, at 4 PM. This choral masterpiece blends ancient Gregorian chants with lush 20th century French impressionistic harmonies. Part of the Cathedral's ongoing "Music in the Cathedral" series, this concert by the Cathedral Choir of the composer's version for chorus and organ is led by Canon Musician Martin Green and accompanied by Associate Director of Music David Preston.
This concert is meant to be a time of reflection and remembrance for those who have departed this life. Prayer or Ofrenda cards will be available at the church for attendees to fill out before and after the event to commemorate their loved ones. Please join us for this poignant concert of remembrance!
The concert is free to attend.
Freewill donations will be accepted at the door for those who wish to give. To sign up for the Music in the Cathedral encore circle for placement on our email list, please visit https://www.incarnationgc.org/visit/concerts/ and follow the prompt to join.
