As your Bishop Search Committee, we are deeply grateful for the many ways you have engaged with us in prayer, conversation, and discernment as we seek the Ninth Bishop of Long Island. This is holy work, and your voice is vital to our journey together.
If you have not yet completed the Landscape Survey, please do so no later than Wednesday, August 13, 2025. This confidential survey, administered by a third party, will help shape both our Listening Sessions and the Bishop Search Profile. Every response matters—whether you are clergy or lay, long-time member or newcomer, we need to hear from you. The survey can be taken in English, Spanish, or Korean using this link.
We now share with you the schedule for additional Listening Sessions. These will be among the last opportunities to share your thoughts, hopes, and dreams for our diocese in this phase of the search process. For those whose first language is not English, we will be planning language-specific sessions as well. Those will be announced in due course.

These conversations—both in person and online—are spaces of holy listening where we discern together how God is calling us forward. Whether you choose to participate through the survey, a listening session, or both, your voice will help shape the future of the Diocese of Long Island.
We are hopeful for what God is doing among us and trust that the Holy Spirit is already preparing the heart of the one who will lead us in the years to come.
