Bishop Provenzano's 2026 Easter Message

In his 2026 Easter Message, the Rt. Rev. Lawrence C. Provenzano, Bishop of Long Island, shares a heartfelt reminder that the Church is the risen body of Christ in the world today. While we celebrate with festive liturgies, joyful singing, and traditional Easter egg hunts, we are called to a much deeper spiritual reality: to be a living representation of Christ’s presence in every part of our lives.

Bishop Provenzano reflects that our true mission is to carry this Easter joy beyond the church doors and into our neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces. We are called to "be Easter" for those facing difficult situations, bringing resurrected light to everyone we encounter. This mission does not end on Easter Sunday; the celebration continues as a season of mission all the way until the Feast of Pentecost. Let us stay on mission together to bring hope and joy to all God’s people.
