On Friday, November 14, during the 159th Convention of the Diocese of Long Island, the evening prayer service will be led by our youth delegates.
As part of this service, we are inviting clergy and lay participants to serve as prayer partners—joining our young leaders in praying for and with those at the convention center.
Prayer partners will:
- Hold space with a small group of clergy, lay persons, and youth delegates at designated prayer stations.
- Offer prayer and presence for those who seek it.
- Commit to being present for approximately 20 minutes during the service.
- Meet briefly during the Friday recess before the evening prayer service.
In addition to the prayer stations, there will be other opportunities for reflection, including:
- Written prayers or personal reflections
- Silent contemplation
- Creative expression through art or journaling
An information session for adult clergy and lay participants will be held via Zoom on Saturday, September 27, from 10:00 –11:00 AM, hosted by The Rev. Dan Ade, The Rev. Mark Kowalewski, Ms. Chelsy DeHart, and The Rev. Cn. Landon Moore. To register for this meeting, click here.
