On Friday, June 13, the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island hosted its annual Retired Clergy Luncheon at the Mercer School of Theology in Garden City. The day began with a celebration of the Holy Eucharist in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, with Bishop Lawrence C. Provenzano presiding and preaching.

This annual gathering is an opportunity to express the Diocese’s deep gratitude for the ministry, leadership, and lifelong service of our retired clergy. Following the service, clergy and their guests enjoyed a festive luncheon and time for fellowship.

The Diocese of Long Island gives thanks for the retired priests and deacons who have faithfully led communities, preached the Gospel, and offered pastoral care across Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk. Their witness continues to inspire generations of clergy and laity alike.
