The Diocese of Long Island hosted its annual Retired Clergy Luncheon this past Friday at the Mercer School of Theology, marking a beautiful day of gratitude and fellowship.
It was a poignant day as Bishop Provenzano presided over his final retired clergy Eucharist before he "joins their ranks," giving thanks for their continued ministry. We were also blessed to have Bishop-elect Shoemaker join us to meet and connect with our gathered clergy. Following the Great Thanksgiving, those gathered broke bread and shared stories of their years serving God in His Church.
