
God willing and the people consenting, the Reverend Dr. Adam J. Shoemaker will be ordained and consecrated a Bishop in the one holy catholic and apostolic Church, and the Ninth Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island. The service will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Tilles Center in Brookville, Long Island. The Most Reverend Sean Rowe, Presiding Bishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church, will serve as the chief consecrator.
Please note, we have reached capacity for in-person attendance at the Tilles Center. If you have already registered, there is information regarding ticket pickup, clergy vesting and procession, parking, security, accommodations, and suggested hotels below. Ticket Information
We have hit maximum capacity and registration is now closed. Tickets are required for entry into the Tilles Center.
If you have already registered, please refer to how you selected to receive your physical tickets:
Mailing List: Tickets have been mailed to your registration address. If you did not receive your ticket, please contact the Bishop's Office.
Bishop's Office Pickup (by September 17th): Tickets will be held for early pickup at the Office of the Bishop, Tuesday through Thursday, 65 Fourth Street, Garden City, NY.
Will Call: Tickets will be held at the main check-in tables outside the Tilles Center on the day of the event.

Information for Clergy
All clergy, including those from the Diocese of Long Island and visiting dioceses, are highly encouraged to vest and to be part of the procession. Reserved seating will be provided for all participating clergy.
Please note: clergy are still required to register and will need a physical ticket to enter the hall.

All diocesan clergy (canonical, retired, and licensed) are invited to a special meeting and luncheon with Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe on Friday September 18th at 11 AM in the Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City. Registration is required.

Parking
There is ample, free on-site parking. Please arrive early. Latecomers will only be seated at designated points in the liturgy.
Security Protocols
Doors to the Tilles Center will open 1 hour before the consecration. Enhanced security screenings will be in place including handheld metal detectors and/or bag searches. Please allow extra time to enter and see below for a list of restricted items.
The following items are not allowed in the theater:
- Backpacks/Large Bags
- Weapons/Firearms
- Outside food and beverages, including water bottles
- Strollers (Tilles Center will check and hold your stroller for your convenience)
- Helium-filled balloons
- Air horns and other loud noise makers
Accessibility and Accommodations
If you or anyone in your party require specific accommodations (such as wheelchair seating or companion placement), please describe your needs on the registration form so our team can prepare for your arrival.
Once on campus you will be directed to the best available parking location. Please indicate to the parking guides if you are carrying a handicapped passenger so you may be directed to a specially designated drop-off area or parking adjacent to the theater.
Only cars with handicapped permits or license plates will be permitted to PARK in the designated handicapped parking area. There are a limited number of handicapped parking spaces available. Please arrive early.
