This clipping documents the consecration ceremony held on November 24, 1925, at St. Thomas’s Church on Fifth Avenue, where Dr. Stires had served as rector for 24 years. The service was attended by over 430 priests and 35 bishops. It was led by the Most Rev. Ethelbert Talbot (retiring Presiding Bishop), alongside co-consecrators Bishop Manning of New York and Bishop Murray of Maryland.
