The Rev. Canon Jenn Pilat serves as Secretary of Diocesan Convention and Sub-Dean of the Cathedral of the Incarnation, worshiping alongside the Cathedral congregation and teaching at Mercer. She has always felt called to serve the Church, a vocation that was nurtured through her musical education as a chorister with the Royal School of Church Music.
Rev. Jenn also serves as a Chaplain in the United States Navy, currently serving as a Resilience Educator for Commander, Navy Region Southeast. She holds degrees in Music Education, Spanish, Spanish Linguistics, and Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina and an M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary. She is currently pursuing a D.Min. in Liturgy at the School of Theology of the University of the South in Sewanee.
In addition to her work at the Cathedral and in the Navy, Rev. Jenn serves on the Board of Managers for Camp DeWolfe, as Secretary on Convention for the Diocese, as a clergy coach, and as a Spanish interpreter for diocesan events. She particularly enjoys singing Evensong, musical theatre, and all manner of organizational leadership.
Rev. Jenn is married to Shelby, and together they are raising a family that includes four children, four dogs, and a bird. Outside of church, you are likely to find her with a cup of coffee in hand, watching football, spending time with family, or enjoying the Cathedral dog park with one of the dogs.
