On Saturday April 22, the Diocese of Long Island held its first Diocesan Celebration of Earth Day at in the Cathedral of the Incarnation

The first public report of the ongoing “Uncovering Parish Histories project” was held on February 26, 2023.

The Diocese of Long Island gathered to honor the life and legacy of Absalom Jones, the first priest of African decent ordained in the U.S.

Awards were first scholarships from program launched by recently formed Reparations Committee, which hopes to expand program in the future.
